Pluto WEBQUEST - for Parents

Welcome to the "Parents Area" of our WEBQUEST about Pluto website.

As most of us learned in school, Pluto was the ninth planet of the solar system. Recently, it has been reclassified from "Planet" to "Dwarf Planet" status.

This project allows your student to use skills from a variety of different subjects including Art, Science, Math, History, English, Reading, Writing, Public Speaking, Computer and Library/Research skills to investigate this subject.

The project is divided into seven modules.

Modules one through four, invite students to investigate specific questions in regards to Pluto.

Module five promotes students exploring and discussing their feelings about this change in planetary status.

Module six focuses on the students creating a presentation through which to share what they have learned to date.

Module seven allows the students the chance to present their learnings to the rest of the class.
